NVQs were alien to me and to be honest I found starting my NVQ an anxious and rather a scarey time. That instantly disappeared when Sue Tomlinson was introduced to me as my mentor, she has guided me and aided me through this course and is truly an inspiration to me. Thank you to Sue and her colleagues, Access Training have really given me the strength to realise further education or indeed re-education can be rewarding, worthwhile and fulfilling..Thanks!

My manager and I both agree it is so refreshing it is to be working with someone so genuinely interested and supportive in my education. Just wanted to say a quick thanks to Access and Lorraine Robinson! Jennifer McDonald - Aim To Recycle

would like other young people to know that I left school with 'reasonable' GCSEs but I have now completed an Apprenticeship in Admin, an Advanced Apprenticeship in Admin and an Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service with Access. The Access team have given me so much self-confidence and the ability to work at an advanced level. I am so happy I went to Access! Lindsay

I would just like to say thanks on behalf of all of us for a great time at access. I believe that my time at access has improved me as a person and has given me skills that I may never have gained at such a young age. I just want to thank everyone at access for the great time and I hope that your training service will do the same for everyone else as it has done for me.

I would like to say a big thank you to my trainer Yvonne for all the effort, support, hard work and time she has put into my training. The training i have recieved has helped me in every aspect of my job, without it i do not think i would have as much confidence and i do not think i would be as sucessful in my job. Thank you to everyone at Access.

I would just like to say that I am very pleased with all the support Sue Tomlinson gave me throughout my training. She is an excellent trainer. She offered me support and direction in all areas of my NVQ Management Level 4. She inspired me to look outside the box and gave me confidence to push myself more. I feel I have learnt and achieved so much through her help and encouragement. She is truly an inspiration to new learners.

I started a new job as an administrator after 19 years as a legal secretary. I found I needed extra learning and skills to enable me to achieve my goals. In particular I needed more experience with Microsoft Access and Excel and the training and guidance from Access has been invaluable to me personally and to my organisation. I have been able to set up many procedures that were lacking before I arrived and that in turn has boosted my confidence. My trainer Yvonne has been an enormous help to me. I have always felt that I could contact her at any time if I had any problems. Keep up the good work Access!

I am currently accessing Management Level 4 NVQ with one of your skills advisors Sue Tomlinson. The course and its content have been fully communicated by Sue in a manner that I was able to understand. The paperwork provided sets out in clear concise detail what is required to fulfil the Units which will lead to a successful qualification, it is refreshing to find a training provider whose advisors actually know the course content and can deliver it without constantly having to look at the written material. Sue is a skilful presenter and has an ability to deliver in a relaxed manner which brings out the best in students and removes any anxiety normally associated with such course expectations. I am not usually someone who would compliment an organisation, and in fact, in my position have to complain about services given more often than not, and I feel it only fair to thank when a provider delivers their product successfully, so well done for providing an excellent product and for the training you obviously supply your staff with, to enable them to deliver the content to your clients. Thank you!

At the age of 40 I decided to return to learning - to back up my skills and experience as an Office Administrator. The people at Access Training helped me develop a personal learning programme and in 3 years I gained an NVQ 3 in Business & Administration, and an NVQ 3 in Management. When I was made redundant in October 2009 I had the qualifications to verify my skills and experience – which helped make me ‘employable’ and I was able to get a good job in December 2009.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff at Access, especially Sue Tomlinson and Yvonne Proctor. Their continued support in my personal development programme over the last 3 years helped me enormously. Their insight, enthusiasm and professionalism made me realise that I could learn and achieve – even after the age of 40.
I am now moving on to an HND conversion course which will give me enough CATS points to start a BA Honours Degree course in Business Management and Administration – something I could only have dreamt of before I started learning.
Thank you

I would just like to say a big thank you to Sue Tomlinson for all the help and support she has given me during my NVQ Level 3. I certainly would not have achieved my goal without her advice and reassurance, especially when it came to my key skills in maths. I think Sue is an asset to Access Training and I would recommend her to all of my work colleagues at WaverleyTBS as she is a true professional.

When I first started my new job I was new to almost every aspect of it. I wasn’t confident on the telephone, I didn’t have certain skills and I was very shy talking face to face with new customers.
After starting my NVQ, within weeks of Yvonne coming out to see me, teaching me one to one how to answer the telephone and how to project my voice and slow down while speaking, I was a lot more confident and people could understand what I was saying and I felt a lot more comfortable.
The help I’ve had from Yvonne has been great and she has put in a lot of effort to help me gain skills and confidence. She gave me instructions, help, talked me through things I didn’t understand and has a lot of patience with everything.
I would like to thank Yvonne for the help I’ve had from her and everyone else at Access.

I just wanted to say thank you to Lorraine for all her help and support with my NVQ.
I am a Business Administration Apprentice at Egger UK Ltd and have recently completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration. Lorraine Robinson was my Skills Adviser, she helped me throughout my NVQ by offering me valuable support. She was very clear in what she expected us to do for her following visit and I always felt that I could approach her for guidance when needed.

I have thouroughly enjoyed my time at Access. Doing the Foundation Learning Programme has been a big help and has impacted greatly on my life. I left school with no qualifications and Yvonne has been a massive help to get me the qualifications I need to go out into the world and find employment. Through doing this course I have achieved Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English and ICT. I also have certificates for Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities. I have achieved a Level 1 Award in Progression, a level 1 Certificate in Progression and i have nearly completed a Level 1 Diploma in Progression. Without these qualifications I would not have been able to try and find employment. This course has given me a massive confidence boost, I now feel ready and eager to find a job and make Yvonne proud of me!

Before I started Access I didn't have much confidence and I also lacked qaulifcations. But 9 months later I now have; Level 1 Award in Progression, Level 1 Certificate in Progression, Level 1 OCR Functional Skills in Maths and English, Level 2 OCR Functional Skills ICT, Health and Safety Certifcate and Equality and Diversity Certificate.
I am now working towards Level 1 Diploma in Progression.
Having these qualifications has really given me that boost that I needed and if it wasn't for Yvonne and Nicola I would'nt have these qualifications today. They have both given their all in to helping the Foundation Learning group achieve the best!

I have been doing a Foundation Learning course at Access since February and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Yvonne and Nicola have helped me achieve my Level 2 Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT. They have also helped me achieve a Level 1 Award in Progression, a Level 1 Certificate in Progression and I have almost completed a Level 1 Diploma in Progression. I was also very nervous and under confident about going for interviews before I came here but now I have a part time job and I feel like I an ready to get an apprenticeship. I am so grateful to them for all of their help and support.
