Access is made up of 3 separate divisions / services. They are:

Business Solutions Access business solutions can offer an assessment/advice service with access to either a Skills Broker (Business Link) or a Business Solutions Adviser, who will analyse the skills gaps within a company and where required develop an appropriate training plan. We will also offer advice on potential funding opportunities (eg through work based learning or Train to Gain funding).
Apprenticeships Access apprenticeships provide businesses with the opportunity to access new recruits and/or develop their current workforce (aged 16-25) with qualifications available up to level 4 and above in some sectors. We ensure that these national programmes meet your specific needs, by tailoring them to your business. They become your company 'training programmes', re-badged and delivered in a way which suits your company.
Training Access training provides bespoke solutions to your training needs. With funding provided through Train to Gain or Adult Apprenticeships we can usually come up with a training package that can suit your budget. We offer everything from short bespoke courses to NVQs level 2-4, to Management and Professional qualifications.

Why use access?

We aim to make a difference to your organisation through the training we deliver.

We aim to identify employer's training needs and the measurable outcomes/benefits they can expect to see as a result of the training solution implemented. These outcomes are reviewed on completion of the training to determine how successful we have been in meeting employer needs.

The quality of our provision has been recognised by achievement of the following nationally recognised quality marks:

Training Quality Standard (TQS)

Training Quality Standard

We are the only independent training provider in Tyne & Wear to have achieved this national award which recognises and celebrates the best organisations delivering high quality, high impact training to employers.

Customer First

We have held the prestigious Customer First Award since 2007. Customer First is the National Standard for Customer Service, awarded to organisations who achieve and maintain customer service excellence.

Our performance is also measured by the following:

The Framework for Excellence (FfE) is the Government's performance assessment tool for further education colleges and post-16 education and training providers. The FfE is formed from a set of performance indicators that cover aspects of a provider's provision including success rates and the views of learners and employers. In 2009 we were rated as either 'Outstanding' or 'Good' in all categories.

We also undertake our own annual Employer Survey to gather views on other aspects of our performance. In our latest (2009) survey 98% of employers indicated they were either 'very satisfied' or 'satisfied' with the service received from Access.
